Education Schemes and Services
1. Cash Awards for Academic Excellence:
This program has been in effect since 1989, and over 10,000 students have been recognized for their academic excellence in the SSLC, Higher Secondary, CBSE-X, CBSE-XII and Degree examinations. Schools with an overall high academic performance in the relevant examinations have also been recognized. From 2007-08 onwards, schools with outstanding performance will also be eligible for cash awards for library books.
2. P.M.F. Fellowship Awards:
This program is based on a highly competitive Talent Search Examination among students who have completed Class X examinations. The Fellowship Program offers to mentor, sponsor and assist these select students for the completion of their higher studies.
3. P.M.F. Loans for Competitive Exams and Selected Professional Courses:
The objective of this scheme is to help students who have applied or intend to apply for the following courses only:
a) All India Civil Service Exam, which is held annually by the UPSC for recruitment to IAS, IPS, IFS and allied services.
b)
Chartered Accountancy (C.A)
c)
Cost Accountancy Exam (ICWAI)
d)
Company Secretaryship (ACS) Exam
The assistance given is in the form of interest-free loans to meet coaching and other related expenses. The amount is to be repaid either as lump sum or in easy instalments as and when the recipient takes up gainful employment. Minimum qualification prescribed for assistance is second-class graduation/post graduation.
4. P.M.F. Institute of Civil Services, Farook College, Calicut.
The P.M. Foundation has established a coaching institute now managed by Farook College for students who plan to apply for the All India Civil Services Exam. Students are offered coaching and guidance from some of the best faculty and have access to wide facilities. (Details of the same may be procured directly from the College itself)
5. PMF Educational Assistance Scheme.
This program offers assistance to students pursuing their graduation or post graduation, by facilitating an interest free loan for the duration of the selected course of study, in addition to one extra year. The sprit of the program is to ensure that no student is denied the right to higher education for lack of financial resources and/or due to other prevailing factors which may prevent the application for interest-based loans
